This notice provides you with information on how we use your personal data. We are committed to protecting and preserving the privacy of our customers. We can confirm that we hold all personal data securely and that we comply fully with all applicable UK Data Protection legislation.

We use email addresses we collect from customers in order to send birthday emails (giving free sunbed minutes), confirm beauty appointments and reminders, send updates on salon opening times and occasional marketing communications (if you have given us your consent to do so). You are able to opt-out of our emails at any time via the unsubscribe link at the bottom of each email. We never share your email adress with anyone.

Email addresses and personal details are stored in our third-party email communication platform, Ovatu Pty Ltd, with bank-grade encryption. The email platform records whether you opt out of email communications and if this is the case, will no longer allow emails to be sent to you. Paper registration cards in the salon are kept in locked cabinet.

What is our legal basis for using your personal information?

We only use your personal information in accordance with the laws that protect your privacy rights. We will only use your personal information where: we have your consent (if consent is needed); we need to use the information for legal purposes ie. insurance for services taken at the salon

How long do we retain your data?

We will never retain your personal information for longer than is necessary. We will only retain your personal information for as long as we need to fulfil the purposes we collected it for as stated above, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal (insurance) requirements.

Who do we share your data with?

We do not share your data with any outside companies.

Only ourselves, Topaz Tanning Ltd, and any self-employed beauticians working within the salon have access to your details for the purposes of booking or discussing appointments. When a beautician ceases to work from Topaz, they no longer have access to your details through the online diary/database. However, you may have given them your details via a consultation card. Please contact the beautician directly for further details as we do not have access to these records and are not responsible for their security.
